Homer Food Pantry

Please note the following regarding The Cortland County Warming Center: The Warming Center has been actively operating out of The Salvation Army and Grace Holy ...Spirit Church since 11/29/2020. It has been open and staffed daily since this date offering food, shelter, and clothing to those in need. Times of operation are as follows: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm (DSS Gym) 4:30pm - 8:00pm (Grace Holy Spirit Church) 8:00pm - 8:00am (The Salvation Army) Saturday - Sunday 8:00am-8:00pm (Grace Holy Spirit Church) 8:00pm - 8:00am (The Salvation Army) Guests have access to showers, laundry facilities, nutritional resources, and beds to sleep in overnight. A case worker from the county meets with guests personally on a weekly basis and they are continuously referred to relevant agencies and resources by staff. If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to inform yourself correctly and appropriately by referring questions and concerns to (607) 753-9363. Just a reminder that when Homer School district is closed (or fully remote) due to weather, the pantry will also be closed. Sorry for the inconvenience. We hope all are staying safe and warm during the storm.

Brrrr! It’s cold out there today, but we’re still open tonight, 5-7 pm.

It's a new year! New and returning clients to the pantry will be asked to complete an intake form and show proof of residency in Homer (e.g. driver's license or utility bill) for 2021. As a reminder, we're open tonight (Thursday) from 5 - 7 pm. And on Tuesdays, 10 am - 12:30 p.m.

The pantry is open tonight 5 - 7 pm. As always, new individuals and families in Homer welcome.

The pantry will be closed until after the new year. We will reopen on Tuesday, January 5 at 10 am for regular hours. Happy holidays!!

Thanks to the generous Homer community we packed 45 Christmas boxes today! Distribution is on Tuesday Dec. 15 (10 am-12:30 pm) and Thursday Dec. 17 (5-7 pm). Each box contains non perishable food, fresh apples and vegetables, toiletries, toilet paper, desserts and a holiday meat. Thanks to a few knitters/sewers, there are also hats, mittens and kids’ face masks.
