The bass bite has been a bit slow lately, but I think we hit a turnaround!! They know it's August. It's time to slam them.

The bite was on this morning. Lost a very nice salmon right at the boat. Next time he gets caught you get a fish and a lure!!

The Hooker had an old friend aboard this morning. It had been some-teen years in between salmon trips for Carl. He got his limit just a couple hours in. Already looking forward to the next trip out with you Carl!!

Just after the downpour stopped, we had double 27 inch Lakers on. 14 lbs of fish in 10 minutes!!

Today's catch of the day goes to Darryl. One of the Hookers poles was lost to the abyss of Lake George for a year or two. Welcome back to the rotation!!

These guys are used to catching alot. Tonight was tough on the numbers end, but still managed to get some nice ones.

Misty conditions didn't stop Brett from putting this chunker into the net. You'll see in the background how jealous Tara is. She had her turn last year holding the biggest, but its Brett's turn this year!!

I know we said Saturday there would be an update. Crazy busy weekend, but here it is.

Labor Day weekend is the end of day to day operations. After that its all on demand. You call...WE GO!! So check back on Saturday for a special to those who mean most to us.

Stuart put his crayfish down 30 feet, and fought this lunker all the way to the net. Measuring in just shy of 21 inches, we have a new season leader for biggest!!

It's always great to see these faces aboard The Hooker. 15 years ago we met, alot has changed over the years. All the kids are grown up now and spread out all over. Always a blast with these guys. The fish bite was great tonight. Here's a few of the fat smallys we pulled in.

Sad but true. The Hooker was towed in. It blew a throttle cable...and shifter cable at the same time, A true rarity!! Even with all the help of great friends from The Flamingo Resort, Austin Charters, and Gillis Boat Repair The Hooker cant run until Tuesday August 21. August is truly the best days to be out on "The Queen" so we are devastated to have lost 4 days

The Hooker was parked with good company this morning. Check out the newest big boy of the year. 20" 3lb 15oz small mouth. August always brings out the big bass!!

Hit one of the "Risk and Reward" spots tonight, and got rewarded!!

Captain Jason's biggest fan Vivian was aboard today. She strong armed this 17 inch smally solo. Her uncle Tom thought he had a record with his 19 inch smally. Light line and Heavy smiles!!

The Hooker has a full boat of 10 people tonight. Everyone has caught fish except Chris. 1hr 45mins in he nabs this 18 inch smally!!

The local boys are killing it tonight aboard the Hooker. Lots of fat hogs for everyone!!

The 5 way tie for largest of the year has been beat. We have a new leader. This 19" Bass-Zilla weighed in over 5lbs.

A little slow to start today's party boat off, but we're still getting some good ones

The Hooker Sank!! Last fall, overnight high winds kicked up the waves of LG and snapped both dock posts the Hooker was tied to. It spent the night on the rocks, sinking in a foot of water. Not knowing what to do Hooker Charters relied on some other great businesses. We would like to thank the people of Terry Clark Ent, Fire and Marine Inc Rozells Industries... The whole off season would have been worse without these great people. In the end, Hooker Charters is ready to float for the 2018 season! Long time no post. An Update coming soon!!

Cold, Windy, Rough water, still managed to land some smallmouth. This 17.5" smally was Adams biggest.

Almost October and we're still at it. 40 smallmouth in the boat. Biggest of the day was 18.5 inch

Day 2/2 of the King George Fishing Derby. With some success on day 1 of the derby salmon fishing, and the hot weather affecting the bass fishing in the afternoon. Team Hooker decided to go for the vacant salmon division. With many bites lacking size, we ended up with 13 salmon not exceeding the minimum of of 22 inches to qualify. We fished hard for the reward but only ended up with alot of laughs and keeper sized salmon. Team Hooker would like to thank all the people who donated and made this event possible!

For those of you who didn't know, today was day 1 of 2 of the King George Fishing Derby. The rumor going around was that this guy caught the biggest salmon of the day. Measuring in at 21.5 inches, it's just a half inch shy of a $2,000 fish. John and his buddy T.R. are going all out tomorrow to get into the cash!! Captain Jason has NO DOUBT these guys can do it!!

Always a good time fishing with these fellas. With the bass bite in question recently. These guys proved the bite is still good!!
