With COVID-19 rates consistently rising in our area and our dedication to providing safe library services to our patrons, Cheney Library has decided to return t...o curbside services only beginning Wednesday, December 9, 2020. This decision was made based on local and state COVID-19 statistics, as well as information from the library system level. Our interlibrary loan service is still active. This means patrons can continue requesting books from other libraries. Our WiFi will also remain active and will be accessible 24/7 from our parking area. We will continue to offer take-home activities and virtual programs. Thank you for your support and understanding. GOOD MORNING HOOSICK The Town of Hoosick Lions Club annual Christmas tree sale is on today. Free hot cocoa & candy canes, bake sale. Trees are $42 each. Come on down to Wood Park, limited stock.

To help out people during this Christmas season, The North Hoosick Fire Department will be hosting a drive thru visit with Santa & Mrs Claus on Saturday, Decemb...er 19th @ 1:00 p.m. The drive thru will give parents an opportunity for their children to see Santa. The fire department will be doing a food give away at that time. Our give away of food will consist of Spaghetti & Meatballs, other canned foods, and drinks enough to feed a family of 4. Other goodies for the children will also be handed out at that time. No one is to exit their vehicles. Vehicles will enter thru the rear of the fire station and proceed to the location where Santa and Mrs Claus will be located, receive their bag of food, then exit back onto Rt. 22. Like in the past, the fire department welcomes any donations to help make this event a success. Contact Chief Alan Bornt @ 518-378-4538 if interested.
