Genesis 3: 9 reads, "But the LORD God called out to the man, "where are you?"...where are you in your relation to the Creator? this my dear friends is a question we each must ask ourselves...where are we, are we desiring to be closer to Him or are we content with 'doing our own thing?" St. Francise of Assisi, considered his position with God and declared, "Lord, make me and instrument of thy peace. where there is hatred, let me show love, where there is injury, pardon: wher...e there is doubt, faith; where there is despair, hope; where there is darkness, light; and where there is sadness, joy. In this new year, where so many of our fellow human beings are hurting, suffering and in despair, let you and I also declare, Lord draw me nearer to you, that I too, may be an instrument of your peace.
