R O U N D F I V E If you notice the sign at the top, it says waiting room. I feel like my life has been a constant waiting game these last four months, like it’s on pause. I’m learning that the end of treatment is probably the hardest. Not only is the chemo piling up and making you feel crappy, but it brings on anxiety and worry for what the future holds. There is a song called I Will Wait by David Leonard. It’s so encouraging and uplifting. This past week has been ro...ugh, I had some difficulties with my PICC line, basically I got a blister around the dressing from the adhesive not drying all the way. It’s not that big of a deal, but it worried me because my counts were about to drop to where I would be prone to infection and I did not want to get that blister infected. I also had to get a blood transfusion on Thursday which wasn’t scary but I’d never had one before so I didn’t know what to expect... If you’re in a season where you’re worn out from waiting and waiting, have hope and remember that God doesn’t give us something we can’t handle. It doesn’t matter your situation, you are strong. you are brave. you can do this. -Lauren If you were just diagnosed or need someone to talk to, our cancer helpline is here for you 24/7/365. 1-800-227-2345 #AttackingCancer

It’s been exactly two whole months since I finished #chemotherapy! Crazy how quickly life evolves and changes. I am so grateful to be where I am at rather than where I have been before. Just in case you missed them at the time, these are all the chemo costumes, from start to finish. Chemo sucked. It did. I won’t even pretend it was any less difficult than it was. I have so much empathy for those still in treatment. The costumes gave me, my caregivers, and fellow patients som...ething else to focus on instead of just the difficult stuff. A positive outlook can go a long way. I believe positive trumps negative every time. I love finding other positive attitudes out there to follow; so tag someone that you find particularly inspiring to you, so I can follow them too. -Rex No matter where you are in your cancer journey, the #AmericanCancerSociety is here to help. If you need support, call our 24/7/365 hotline at 1-800-227-2345 #AttackingCancer #NonProfit
