To our HYQ community, I think we have come to a time where a pause would be beneficial for the community. We are already closed tomorrow for Christmas, but I am going to temporarily close the studio for two weeks starting Saturday. Things are getting too hot, community numbers are rising, the hospital is seeing more admissions and honestly our teachers need a breather. Our #1 goal at the studio is to serve this beautiful community and I feel this is the way we do it right now.... Safety over profits, community first.....always. Consider it a holiday vacation. Please be mindful, do your part, mask and be safe so we can open again. Stephanie All accounts will be adjusted, annuals will have time added and autos will see the next payment prorated 50%. As of now we have a 100% green light from Warren Co and Public Health to press on with classes. They said our policies are rock solid and regardless of pending tests, no quarantines are needed at this time. We will wait until later today though to make a decision on opening for tomorrow. Our goal at Hot Yoga Queensbury has always been to serve the community as best as we can. We have learned this year that sometimes that means we need to close. We found out tonight that we had a very questionable but possible exposure this week and are waiting to find out more information. Out of an abundance of caution we’ve decided to voluntarily close for tomorrow until we know more information and have an opportunity to talk more in depth with Public Health for guidance. ...All individuals possibly involved have been personally contacted and strict masking, distancing, and cleaning protocols were maintained. We feel our policies at HYQ have been strong, and we have maintained the safest environment possible considering the circumstances. This is us being cautious, putting community first. We would rather overreact now out of safety than press on. We will update you tomorrow on what the week will look like. We need to pause to make safe decisions and appreciate your ongoing support. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve (we are closed the 25th). Our classes are booked and the waitlists are long. If you are on the fence or think you may cancel just be mindful and do it in a timely manner so others may have the opportunity this holiday. We know schedules can get crazy and life can get in the way, we just want to spread the love and share available space. If you have been sick, have had any questionable or known COVID exposures or have traveled, please respect the space, our teachers and the HYQ family and stay home so we may continue to keep our doors open to serve you.
