Higland Physical Therapy South would like to announce, we are opening the 1508 Route 9W, Marlboro office and will be back treating patients starting Tuesday, May 26th. We will be open Tuesday & Thursdays from 10AM-last patient scheduled at 3PM. If you need an earlier or later appointment, please call the office and will arrange to meet the demands of your busy schedule. Please call to reserve your appointment ASAP, in order to obtain the days and times that best fit your ...schedule. Please also tell your family and friends who are in need of physical therapy, that we will be more than happy to treat them as well. You do not have to go to a facility that is not close to home or where your Orthopedic MD is located. We stay in close contact with your Orthopedic office by routinely sending your Evaluation and progess notes to them. We are also open at the 280 Route 299m Highland location and will continue to provide service for your physical therapy needs If you are feeling ill and are showing symptoms, please stay home. If you come into our clinic ill, please be aware that you will be turned away and you may return when you are symptom free. If you are unsure about whether to venture out of your home for your physical therapy appointments and have questions, please call our office or email us through the patient portal. Our ...practice has not closed since the pandemic. Jeff Gersch, PT, along with Gino Watson, PT Tech, have continued to treat those in need during the past 6 weeks of the shut down of COVID-19. TERATOMA: A type of germ cell tumor that may contain several types of body tissue. Teratomas are tumors made up of tissues, such as hair, muscle, and bone. They occur most often in the ovaries in women, and the testicles in men. They may be benign or malignant. Symptoms vary depending on the location. A painful lump or swelling may be apparent. Some babies have a mass that can be seen on an ultrasound before birth. Treatment often involves surgery. In rare cases when a teratoma is malignant, chemotherapy or radiation may be needed.
