Hudson Guild 12.01.2021

Hudson Guild is fortunate enough to serve a myriad of different participants. We feel lucky to learn how diverse and resiliant the communities we serve can be. Parents of some of our youngest participants continue to share their thoughts on the programs they rely on. One such parent recently shared, "I am grateful for the care, patience, and love that the teachers have for the children and all the wonderful resources they were able to provide during these difficult times." #TuesdayThoughts

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. Thank you Dr. King for your lessons in kindness, community, and generosity that will always ring true. #MLKDay

Storytelling in ceramics is ageless. Ancient Greek civilizations recorded narratives of their lives on ceramic vessels for themselves and future generations. During the Renaissance, a larger range of colored glazes was introduced which allowed greater decorative detail and narrative range. The technical maturation of ceramics became comparable to the quality of narrative art introduced by "easel painting." Visit https://rb.gy/7zsiox and view the collection now.

Tomorrow until Monday, Hudson Guild will be hosting a holiday pop-up shop for our participants and families! This is an incredible chance to visit the store and select toys, coats, and pantry items for their families. Families and participants should inquire within their programs. We can't wait to bring smiles to the faces of our kids and adults and warmth to their holiday season. Stay tuned to see more from this year's holiday pop-up shop!

We're so grateful for the incredible support of our #HudsonGuild family--thank you for the love Marlon Wayans! [repost from #MarlonWayans]: I'm excited to lend my voice to an awesome organization in NYC: @Hudson_Guild! I grew up at #HudsonGuild and you all know it was my home away from home - for me and my siblings. They are an awesome charity that works to help the whole community. Right now, they're running a toy drive, coat drive, and food drive to help families. Help them out by going to www.hudsonguild.org/donate. I want to be sure every kid gets a toy or coat this year!
