The Huguenot & New Rochelle Historical Association would like to wish Barbara Davis well on her new position as Co-Director of the Westchester County Historical Society. Barbara stepped down today as the New Rochelle Public Library Community Relations Coordinator. We are grateful to hear she will remain on as the City of New Rochelle, NY Historian. Her endless contributions & accomplishments to our city are well known and greatly appreciated. Continued success Barbara on this new chapter.

November is National Native American Heritage Month and tomorrow on Veterans Day the National Native American Veterans Memorial on the grounds of the Smithsonian’s National Museum of the American Indian on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. opens to the public. You can watch the dedication live tomorrow at https://americanindian.si.edu/visit/washington/nnavm During November, why not take some time to learn the history of the Siwanoy’s who sold the land to Thomas Pell that would eventually become New Rochelle. #NativeAmericanHeritageMonth #nationalnativeamericanveteransmemorial #siwanoy
