As of Tuesday, April 15: 3,120,381 Americans were tested for COVID-19. 609,696 of them tested positive, or 19.5% (so 80% of those who showed reasons to be tested were negative). 26,059 of those who tested positive died, or 4% - but after this is over, this number will be found to be inflated because any patient who dies WITH the COVID infection is charted as having died BECAUSE of the infection which inflates the mortality rate due to morbidity complica...tions. Only 0.008% who have been tested (and they were tested for a reason) have died from COVID-19. That’s less than 1%. 43,482 have officially recovered, but 597,502 Americans who have tested positive will RECOVER from COVID-19 assuming a 98% recovery rate. WE HAVE TO GO TO WORK! This is my plan in 5 parts: 1 People who tested positive for COVID-19 and recovered are now immune. No need for them to self-isolate. They can go about their business today. 2 Recovered Americans are CANDIDATES for donating plasma for others so they can become immune. 3- Rural regions of the nation should not be directed to behave as crowded cities. 4- Healthy people who are not immunocompromised can continue to help those who are vulnerable. 5 Vulnerable people can continue to practice social distance and ask for help if needed. Scientists are closer to a solution every day. They have developed a test that shows who is immune to the virus. In Europe thousands of physicians are prescribing Hydroxychloroquine, brand name: Plaquenil. Why? BECAUSE IT WORKS against COVID-19. Are we willing to sit for months watching people go bankrupt, businesses close, 17+ million unemployed, plus 57 Million in gig economy, some committing suicide while family and friends die needlessly, unable to access Hydroxychloroquine? We can’t wait 18 months, or even 6 months for a vaccine. We cannot avoid that millions will be exposed and infected - but 98% will recover! Never in world history has a nation voluntarily shut down its own economy as we are doing. If we don’t fashion a plan very soon the collateral damage will be much worse than the virus. Those who are already affected economically are those who can least endure this economic calamity. Poverty is not the antidote to COVID. We need to go to work gradually, in stages.
