The Hungry Chicken Country Store

Not only do we have ice cream for you- but we also have a frozen treat for your best friends! We stock Dakota’s Desserts in our novelty freezer - and we welcome dogs in our store.

We have a new chicken coop! Kyle Cejka - owner of Glenville Construction (who also built our house and upgraded our cidery last year) - worked with a great group of guys to build this beautiful chicken coop for our wayward surviving chickens! We are so very grateful for everyone who helped with this project. THANK YOU!

Spring is the perfect time for ice cream! We serve the creamiest ice cream that we can find - you can really taste the difference. This week we have vanilla, chocolate- and lemon and orange are our two flavors. We are open until 6pm M-Th and 7pm Fri and Sat.

Today we’re baking strawberry rhubarb mini pies and our mini quiches - both ham and bacon. We are now open until 6pm during the week. Come see us!

We are accepting orders for Christmas pies and other baked goods! Something new for the holidays: BLACK FOREST mini pies. These are cherry and chocolate filled pies! We are open 8-5 Saturday and 9-5 Sunday.

Today’s featured local maker is Alaksandra. She invented the Ladybug hands free picking basket. - perfect for the gardeners in your life. These baskets come with a neck and waist strap, they are light weight and make picking flowers or veggies easier. They come in small ($18) or large ($20).

We offer free delivery within our local area (20 miles max) - just call or email with what you’d like and we will walk you through the store on the phone to pick what you’d like and can arrange credit card payment and delivery options.
