*Attention Long Island Artists* - Iconic imagery is known to inspire people in times of need and crisis. The COVID-19 pandemic has been a defining global health... crisis of our time, but with safe and effective vaccines available, we now have a critical tool to help bring an end to the pandemic. With that in mind - ShotToReunite a diverse coalition of Long Island arts leaders, artists, public servants, business, and community leaders have come together to raise confidence in the COVID-19 vaccine. The COVID-19 vaccine is our #ShotToReunite! We are currently seeking original entries from Nassau and Suffolk County artists to be used in an art-driven public awareness campaign to spark fact-based, judgement-free conversations within communities and ultimately empower all eligible residents to vaccinated. Show extended through March! "Beyond The Veil" is about expressing emotions and thoughts without fear of judgement or recourse. "NYC 2020" is a glimpse into a sleeping NYC during April and May when Manhattan became a ghost town thanks to Covid 19.

During these days of zero travel (our favorite thing to do), we have spent much time looking through thousands of photos of previous trips we have taken and rel...ishing in the memories. From there came the idea of building a gallery wall. With artistic inspiration from friend Marion, the photo choices were narrowed to 20 or so and b/w filters were added. I then sent the link to our favorites to friend (and LHL sponsor) Wendy Curtis, owner of Huntington Art Center, to determine which would scale to 8x10 for printing. She also made sure each was crisp and clear before printing them for me on photo quality paper making the images really pop. We also have extras so can change them as we want. This wall showcases Milano, Mougins, Cassis, Maldives, Barbuda, Barbados, Vermont, Grand Canyon, Medellin, Prague, Mikonos and Venice. The hardest part was hanging them!!! I LOVE the result. Thought it might inspire some of you as well so I wanted to share. Have fun! See more
