$1.5 million federal grant will boost funding for new Advanced Manufacturing facility Dec212017 Posted by Eric J Bryant on December 21, 2017 The college learned today that a federal government grant request to help fund the Gene F. Haas Center for Advanced Manufacturing Skills (CAMS) was approved. The grant request, which will add $1.5 million to the funding for the new facility, was submitted by Director of Grants Cheryl Beauchamp. President Matonak and Regina LaGatta from ...the college’s Foundation also lobbied for the appropriation. The grant is eligible for New York State matching funds, which means it will add a total of $3 million to the project. The groundbreaking for the new CAMS facility is tentatively set for 11 a.m. on April 11, 2018. See more
