Facebook Friday Weekly Recap! You didn't think we would miss this week, did you? Check out some of the great learning our students did this past week with our staff! We are so proud of all the ways our students have taught us to teach better. Many of our staff also got together on Wednesday for a few team pictures just to say hello to you all and show you who we are - special thanks to the amazing Tracy Smith for putting together the collage! Enjoy your break, and we will see you 4/12/21!
Today is an important day in our world - World Autism Awareness Day 2021. At ICD, we are in full support of our students realizing their most independent and best selves. We recognize that there are differing opinions in the world about various ways to recognize this important day, but all of those perspectives agree that awareness is the first step to any intelligent dialogue. We encourage our community to become better educated about neurodiversity and to move from awarene...ss toward acceptance and understanding. To learn more about this important day, please visit the United Nations World Autism Awareness Day site: https://www.un.org/en/observances/autism-day/background We celebrate our students’ unique contributions to the diverse community we live in every day, but today we want to take additional time to express our gratitude for the opportunity to work with each child and his/her/their family. There is no greater gift than to work with others who help you learn there are many ways to reach a goal and many ways to enjoy your way getting there.
