The Advent Wreath is one of the easiest ways to instill Catholic devotion in your family and home during the four weeks leading up to the sacred Feast of Christmas. It also helps us to prepare for Christmas. This is the right time to make sure you have those candles, three purple and one pink, (or tie colored ribbons around white candles) so that you have them in time for the First Sunday of Advent (November 29). Christmas is both a sacred holy season for Christians and a se...cular season, a holiday for the secular world, and we are part of both. Protect the holiness of the season, not by fighting the commercialization of the season, but by protecting its holiness in your own life, family and home. The link below will take you to prayers you can use at home with the Advent wreath. A new candle is lit each Sunday of Advent beginning with the first Sunday of Advent. The pink candle is for the third Sunday, which is called Gaudete Sunday. https://www.ourcatholicprayers.com/.../adventwreath.pdf... We would love to see your Advent Wreaths, post a photo of them in the comments field. We wish you a blessed Advent journey. See more
