Brain WOD: Ropes! All you need is a jump rope or a bunch of rope cut to equal length. Before you start have an idea of what you are going to work on shapes/spelling/math.... To begin set the rope(s) about 15-20yds away from the athlete. Before you say go. Show or tell the athlete what you want them to create. On GO the athlete can run/walk/skip/crawl/move like and animals towards the rope. Once they get to the rope they will need to recreate what was asked of them. Example: have 5 cards ready to show the athlete. On GO the athlete must run to the rope and create the shape, crawl back and get the next shape from you. This can be a timed event. Remember to keep this fun and exciting and change the variables often. #autism #brain #education #exercise #math #spelling #shapes #wod #learning #fun #kids #teens

Logic, Planning, and Organization Referred to as "high order" brain functions because they are dependent on other processes to be effective. All three functions have to work together to carry out definitive actions in response to specific situations. The goal is to help create and build procedures before performing a task. The scientific method is a prime example of this, it can be used in everyday tasks to build an effective plan.
