#ILoveGay Today is live in Denver this past #NewYearsDay2021 weekend, where we met up with LGBTQ+ leaders in the region, including Joe Foster III, VP of Development and Communication at The Center on Colfax. We chat about his start in the LGBTQ+ non-profit community, where he began in NYC at GLAAD and Lambda Legal. He recently relocated to Denver, where he's been a part of the @MatMatthew Schueller, and now the Center on Colfax, an organization which takes the lead in the local LGBTQ+ community, heading up various programs including Denver Pride. I’m Noah Michelson and I’m from Racine, Wisconsin, which is a good place to go home to now but not a great place to grow up if you’re queer and especially in the 80s. And I was the queerest kid that I’ve ever met that I think anyone has ever met. I came out of the womb, ready to go. And not just queer but also super sexual and I don’t really know where that came from. And I don’t think anyone really does. And when I say that, my first memories and my first urges and desires were wanting to have sex with men. I had crushes on Mr. Rogers, I had a crush on Jesus, any kind of masculine figure in my life, I wanted to have sex with them.
