We are honored to be one of the beneficiary's of the Wilcox family. Their generosity benefits our passion for educating young EMS professionals. Russ WIlcox is a Charter Board Director of IRAS.
Today was Super Safety Skill Saturday at IRAS as members trained on various scenarios such as de-escalating a dangerous patient, working with child car seats and transporting children and how to help a patient that isn't readily accessible, among other situations.
Happy Easter to you and your family, near and far.
We thank Lillian Kerry and her mom for the wonderful gift package! Everything is so tasty.
This is less than a month away. Be sure to schedule an appointment. Another way we are proud to serve our communities.
TODAY! Walk-ins are welcome. Blood is desperately needed. If you can, please do, stop in and give a pint.
We are hosting an emergency blood drive next week. Your help is needed. There is an urgent need for all types of blood. The drive is right here at IRAS, 6.5 Sand St. Philadelphia. As a thank you all donors will get a $5 Dunkin gift card! We hope you can help.
Happy Joyous Hanukkah.
We love seeing pics of all the Ugly Christmas Sweaters and we always appreciate the support! #IRASUglySweaterRun
We are proud of our people who have made it possible for us to succeed in the last 10 years. They have responded to thousands of calls of people in need of quality emergency medical care. In todays crisis these people are getting the recognition they deserve. They are called heroes. Are you the next in line to be a hero? To volunteer at IRAS is easy. All training from specialized driving, EMT-Basic, and Advanced EMT. In many cases we pay for our people to obtain Paramedic ...education and certification. People that volunteer at IRAS come from all walks of life including; teachers, accountants, physical therapists, nurses, mechanics, soldiers, food services, students, stay at home mom's and dad's. So whether you're a person who is looking for the ideal way to start a career in allied health, a person who wants to do something to make your heart feel good, an empty nester looking for something to do after work or a retiree wanting something to keep busy, we are the activity you're looking for. Send a PM or call 315-642-8000 to learn more and start your journey as a hero.
Thank you to the community for your continued support!
Like everything, our Ugly Christmas Sweater Run for Indian River Ambulance Service had to be canceled- so we’re taking a ride in the ambulance instead - they still are out the $ from the run though, so if you can donate: https://runsignup.com//NY/Philadelphia/IndianRiverAmbulance
Such beautiful work from our friends at Martin's Greenhouse. We can't thank them enough.
Okay, so it's 2020.... so the Ugly Christmas Sweater Run tomorrow won't look like it used to....But you can still put on your most hideous Christmas Sweater and join us virtually in your own neighborhood, park or back road. And for some reason, the cost this year is $19. https://runsignup.com//NY/Philadelphia/IndianRiverAmbulance

Indian River Ambulance is pleased to sponsor these two important programs happening this Tuesday, October 6. The Upstate Medical Hospital Mammography clinic is at IRAS, 6.5 Sand St., Philadelphia from 9:30-2p. Appointments are required. Also, a blood drive at the Theresa Fire Hall from 1-5. Appointments are appreciated but walk ins are welcome.
We at IRAS are very pleased to help bring this service to our communities. You're urged to use this program. Appointments are necessary.
Very proud of a couple of our providers. These two, Scott Howe and Hillary Bridge, aspire to be great and both remember where they started. Side note: Mrs. Culbertson, holding the flag, is a Board member with IRAS.
Don't forget this is happening today! There is an urgent need for all types. Walkins are welcome.
For the first time in a very long time buses and kids are traveling to and from school. Slow down in school zones. Use caution on village streets where children may be walking to or from school. And remember: DON'T PASS A SCHOOL BUS WITH THE RED LIGHTS FLASHING! It's not only unnecessarily dangerous, it's illegal. Have a great school year.
Have a safe and fun day. Remember, should you need us we are here for you.
We have a much needed blood drive in three weeks. Appointments are appreciated. The need has never been greater.
Why do we do EMS? For the food and art, silly! A little one fell off their bike. Mommy brought them to IRAS to be looked at. All the scrapes and bumps have healed well. To show their appreciation we get all of these tasty treats and the beautiful art! Thank you!
We are pleased to work with Upstate University Hospital to bring this vital program to IRAS.
We hope everyone is staying safe, healthy, and positive in these crazy times! As cases decline in our area, we'd like to remind everyone that COVID-19 is still a risk. Remember to do your best to socially distance and protect your community. We're still here 24/7, should you need us.
