Sacred Sunday Morning Coffee Sun already up Meditation thoughts ......... ~Sleep doesn’t help it it’s your soul that is tired BasilRelief-Rejuvenation ... Sometimes we go through life and just keep plugging away as it seems to be the best way to just get through. And in some ways yes this can be true as long as one is doing it consciously and with intention. I consider myself a highly conscious and aware women. I have a toolbox full of skills and learning experiences to move me through. However, life is always changing and we can not control all circumstances that come our way. Sometimes life gets heavy; adult responsibilities, schedules, children, work, health challenges, struggling relationships, having to have hard conversations with those we love, stepping up and being boy brave, financial stuff and the list goes on. Mindfuckery can sure take over and before I knew it my soul was crying out for freedom. I look at life like a game. What game do I want to play?? How do I want to feel? What do I want to consciously create? Where can I be more creative with problem solving? Where can I pivot my perspective on life?? The cards I pulled this morning are exactly what I have been pivoting to create. See, for me, childlike joy, creating, fun and adventures is the key to life. Without these, my soul gets tired and feels stagnant. My perspective gets foggy and clarity gets skewed. So play is the name of the game! This weekend I created exactly what I needed; I turned off life and jumped in with both feet too create connection with my girls, live music, drinks and laughing until my belly hurt on Friday night. Sunday is family day with my children filled with games and fun food. This week at work was less intense and I was able to play and create by writing positive affirmations throughout the school on windows and bathroom mirrors. I felt like the kindness fairy and I smiled all day!(Pics to come). 1/2 Days lead to connecting with co-worked and laughing while we created for our students weeks ahead. See, in each moment we can find the play, the joy, and the creation that our souls crave. Is all of this going to stop what is occurring in my life? Nope. Not at all. However it will lighten up my mood, nourish and revive my soul, clear away the stagnation of energy and bring ME back to my core self which in turn then I am better able to handle with anew found perspective of whatever comes my way. I love Sunday mornings....Perhaps, it’s because I feel there is something so sacred about this special day. A slowing down perhaps. Or maybe it’s because that’s what I make it. Taking time in my bed to slowly rise, enjoying the first cup of coffee, watching the cloud formations as the sun shines its first glow, pulling oracle cards, feeling into myself and next steps to move forward, late family breakfast, enjoying a long hot Goddess shower, and being intentional and mindful... about my week ahead. As I pulled my oracle cards and oracle essential oil cards this morning, it was very clear the message the Universe wanted me to receive; Awaken into your TRUE SELF; Come back home. Each card came back to this very message. As I was reading my cards a blue jay greeted me with his morning song at my bird feeders. Ahhhh another sign as Blue Jay represents discovering your true self and to rise above the darkness. As I journaled all my discoveries and awarenesses this morning I found myself getting all caught up or up in my head in what is my true self? See, I feel in some areas of my life there is this huge gap of where my soul wants me to be and where I actually am. I realized for some reason I am resisting or maybe making things more complicated then they need to be. Ahhh a typical old behavior of mine. Check! So I stopped myself as I knew this did not have to be this hard. Messages are not meant to be hard. They are meant to awaken the curiosity of where in my life I have moved away from my true self or where I feel I am unaligned. As I settled into my hot shower and became grounded this answer came to me very easily. My true self is love, kind, compassionate, light hearted, child like, fun, joyful, open minded, resilient, free, supportive to others, healing, teaching, and so much more. When I move away from my true self due to pressures of life, lack of self care and down time. I start to feel off, confused, down, hard on myself, thoughts of lack and much more. This is not Truth. So thank you to Spirit for the signs today to remind me of my Truth. My True Self. My way of being. And to come back home to myself. And to remind me that when I am in flow with my true self all else will follow. So here’s to more dancing, more fun, more joy, more healing of others, more laughter, more teaching and more gatherings to share and support. Here’s to stepping out into the world again in a new way; even if it’s scary and uncomfortable because this is the way to coming home to my true self. Step by step. Moment by moment. Breathe by breathe. May you have a Blessed Sacred Sunday
