Infinity Charters LLC

We use a lot of fishing line at Infinity Charters for our Big Water fishing on the Great Lakes and the Rod in Hand tactics at Chautauqua. Since 2018 Infinity Charters has been single sourcing all of its monofilament, braid, fluorocarbon and leaders from Maxima Fishing Line. We have had consistent quality and good wear from their line. Just received an order this week for 2021 season line replacement. I'm often asked what do Guides do in the winter? Replacing line is a big part of getting ready for the next season. We are also trying Maxima's Sharktooth line cutter/line keeper. Keeping leader spools in the boat or tackle box always seems cluttered. This little elastic band with a small cutter should fix that. These come in 3 packs in several sizes. Going to try them in 2021.

Walleye fishing has been good- getting number of fish with a mix of shorts, keepers and the occasional lunker. Rapala Flat Jigs in 1 5/16 oz size have doing well in a variety of colors. Lake is finally cooling with temps in mid 50's. We are still running trips with "weather permitting" - it has been a good fall!

Plans for 2021 Season underway! Made the decision to update the kicker motor on the Proline. Decided it was time to stop pulling a starter cord and manually tilting the motor. The 9.9 Yamaha had never let me down in its many hours of trolling so it was hard to switch brands. Went to a Suzuki electric start, power tilt, 12 amp alternator and fuel injection in cool white paint. Did the break in on my Lund so it is ready to fish in spring. Still running some trips on Chautauqua vertical jigging for walleye as we plan for 2021.

9/23 Chautauqua- little prefishing today for upcoming trips. Did some vertical jigging on the edges of deeper holes. The Moonshine Shiver Minnow took a nice 20" then a 25" fatty that was over 5 pounds. Was nice to see this bite coming to life. Should be some nice fishing this fall for some fat walleye.

8/23/20 Olcott, NY- After grinding away on walleyes on Lake Erie and Chautauqua for the last month, decided to change things up. Changed out gear and setup from walleye to salmon then trailered to Lake Ontario. Had Mike from Chautauqua Reel Outdoors and the folks from Appliance Specialties in Lakewood on board. Ran out to 500 plus deep in the shipping lanes and played with steelhead and salmon. Knocked the dust off my salmon gear. Not 100% sure of my 2021 plans, but likely will see more salmon time. Need to get back to where I started. Love seeing the rods fly.
