Dear friends, As millions sign up to Initiative Q and support the effort to create a modern payment system, a new Wikipedia page has been recently been created for the effort. As often happens with brand new Wikipedia pages, not all relevant info is immediately included and not all inaccuracies have been vetted out yet. We, as an interested party, are rightfully not allowed to edit this page, but would still like to point out the inaccuracies. (Please be aware that the page i...s updated constantly) Initiative Q does not use chain email multi-level marketing. Rather it uses standard referral marketing practices. Wikipedia itself defines multi-level-marketing as a marketing strategy where the revenue of the MLM company is derived from a non-salaried workforce selling the company's services, while the earnings of the participants are derived from a pyramid-shaped ... commission system. In Initiative Q this is clearly not the case. The potential gains for the Initiative Q users come from the currency becoming widely adopted, and not from any commissions or payments for sales of services. We were planning to celebrate the important milestone of Initiative Q’s first million registered users, but by the time we found a free second to put this text together over two million people from more than 180 countries have already signed up! These two millions were the first to believe that with enough support a modern payment system could overcome the chicken and egg adoption barrier. This barrier - the fact that no buyer will join a new payment network with no seller...s, and no seller will offer a new payment option that no buyer uses - is where attempts to offer alternative payment systems have failed in the past. Initiative Q’s user-base growth is accelerating and its vision is getting closer to reality. Still, millions more need to join in order for us to launch the system globally.
