MEANINGFUL GIFTS OH HOW SWEET IT IS: Carrie Guzzino’s children and nieces and nephews wanted to do something special for their grandmother so they each drew a picture to be added to our custom blankets. How do you think it turned out? Just the sweetest, right? I heard Carrie’s mom loved it! If you look at the last two pics, you can see the faces behind all of these thoughtful messages. The last one was taken years ago when they were all sitting on grandma’s stairs. There’s still time to make a keepsake gift for your mom or your loved one who is now a mother. Just DM me or click on the photos for a link.

I missed this anniversary by a few days but it’s still a special one. This is how I started making scrub caps to donate to area medical workers. I had a goal of sewing 100 to donate to the hospital where my friend, Renee Caple workedshe’s a frontliner, a respiratory therapist at Millard Fillmore Suburban who worked closely with COVID-19 patients. Here’s the initial post announcing to everyone my plan on Facebook in hopes to encourage others to do the same. Look at what happ...ened to the reach of this post after Katie Morse from Channel 7 contacted me to do an interview about it. My 100 scrub cap goal turned to 1,000. In the end, we actually made over 2,000 due to the many beautiful hands that joined me in helping our frontliners. What a story and what amazing people I got to meet along the way. If you received one of our scrub caps would you let me know in the comments below for all my workers to hear about it. These people who helped make it happen, who I fondly refer to as my Scrub Cap Heroes, were an inspiration to me daily and deserve a lot of love!

DO YOU LOVE STORIES like me? It’s the stories that get me every time. When mom passed away years ago from a brave battle with cancer, it left everyone devastatedshe was so deeply loved. This recipe is one that Elizabeth O’Grady had us make for her sibling and niece pictured here for Christmas as well as a tshirt for her niece. The Love Moma and Love Mammy were taken from cards that were saved with their mother’s/grandmother’s handwriting. We worked extensively removing t...he background from the recipe and cards and then put it together with the designs. The handwriting on the card was so close in tone to the discolored paper color that it took my Photoshop skills to separate it. It’s definitely not just a simple touch of a filter to remove the words from the background and bring them back to life. One of these days I will figure out how to record the process! It’s pretty amazing watching the words pop off the page again as it was originally written. Let us make something special for Mother’s Day for you to give to your loved ones. Blankets, mugs, garments, tea towels, and so much more that they will treasure. Just go to our website or contact me here.

It’s DYNGUS DAY! With the world still not looking as it did a couple years ago, how will you be celebrating today? Here’s some pics from 2019 at the Polish Cadets. It was the first time this Lebanese girl ever went to a Dyngus Day celebration. We ate some delicious pierogis and had fun listening to the Polish music and watching people dancing. Where was your favorite place to enjoy this Polonia holiday? ... Hoping we will see things return to normal next year.

He’s not there, HE’S RISEN! I'm so grateful that Easter is more than bunny rabbits, eggs, and chocolates (not that any of those things are badwho doesn’t love and adorable ). The true meaning is so much more and brings hope to everyone who believes regardless of race, their past, wealth, or lack thereof. It’s open to all to receive. Happy Easter everyone! Feel free to share this post.
