Community Announcement: The Inspire S-VE Community & Fitness Center building remains closed due to Covid rules and regulations, but we remain hopeful! We are currently working on our reopening plan for the upstairs community center, fitness classes, rentals, and other activities. There are a lot of costly changes to be made in order to be compliant, but we are determined to continue to serve our community. We are sad to share, that the basement gym, most recently run by Squi...er Underground Gym (S.U.G.) has decided to close the doors to their gym at Inspire permanently (please see attached announcement from S.U.G). All their gym members should have received a detailed letter from SUG regarding this situation. We appreciate their efforts to keep our community healthy and we are sorry to see them go. NYS has made small gym ownership exceedingly difficult, to say the least. However, Inspire DOES intend to reopen the basement gym as soon as NYS lightens the restrictions for gyms so we can open our doors again! We apologize for any inconvenience this situation has caused you. We look forward to serving you again and improving our community by enhancing health and vitality, stimulating lifelong learning, and encouraging safety and social responsibility. S.U.G. and the Inspire Board members wish we could report different news, but at this time the restrictions do not allow for the gym to reopen. This is related to the building space, capacity limits, HVAC requirements, staffing needs, and more.
