InterFaith Works is proud is to be a Participating Partner in the CNY 21-Day Racial Equity Habit Building Challenge. United Way of Central New York, in partnership with the YWCA, is launching the challenge community wide on Thursday, Oct. 1. We’re encouraging our employees to take this personal journey, and we hope you’ll join us. This program is designed to help people consider challenging issues like race, power, and privilege in our community -- and the role our experience...s play in shaping our views. Each day, challenge participants will receive an email message on a specific topic, with links to related media. The message + media will help guide open-minded participants on their journey towards improving themselves, and their community, through an act of collective self-discovery. The challenge will conclude on October 21, with A Community Conversation with Dr. Ibram X. Kendi presented by The Friends of the Central Library. For more information about the challenge, and to participate, please visit cnyequity.org/signup. The CNY 21-Day Racial Equity Habit Building Challenge is modeled on a program originally created by diversity experts Dr. Eddie Moore, Jr., and Debby Irving.
