While we are all anxiously awaiting more results on the presidential race, I wanted to share with you the great news that last night was an outstanding night fo...r New York Republicans! Not only did we re-elect all our incumbent members of Congress, but we also held the open seat in NY-2 with the election of Andrew Garbarino, and picked up two more seats with the elections of Nicole Malliotakis in NY-11 and Claudia Tenney in NY-22. These incredible victories will send two strong Republican females to Congress and restore Republican congressional representation in New York City. Our wins didn't stop there...we also picked up seats in the state senate and assembly, blocking Democrats from a senate super-majority and stopping them from a permanent foothold of power after redistricting. That feat alone will ensure the Republican Party's competitiveness for generations to come. We are still tallying the final votes of many races, but one thing is certain: the New York Republican Party won big even in so-called "blue" areas where Democrats' enrollment outnumbered us. Republicans won in New York City and its suburbs, in the Hudson Valley, the capital region and across Upstate from the North Country to the Mohawk Valley to the Southern Tier. We did this in spite of a main stream media and political money class who were aiding Democrats every step of the way. We did this because we stayed focused on the issues that matter to New Yorkers like supporting our police, repealing the dangerous new bail law and respecting hardworking taxpayers. Our mission is far from over---we are just getting started but last night's results were a huge success. We are rebuilding, retooling and revitalizing the NYGOP so that we can turn the entire state of New York RED. With these new crop of strong fighters, the New York Republican Party will be champions of a common sense agenda that puts a halt to the radical left. And while we celebrate these tremendous victories, we are immediately turning our sights to our most important mission yet: FIRING ANDREW CUOMO in 2022. We couldn't have achieved this success without the incredible generosity and support of all of you who donated your time and treasure to elect Republicans up and down the ballot. Our Party is only as strong as our team, and this victory belongs to YOU--the taxpaying citizens of New York State.
