The dance program welcomes a new dance faculty member, Dr. Mary S. Burns! An educator of movement for over thirty years in colleges & professional dance studios in NYC, Texas and Chicago, Dr. Burns now works with NYC’s dance community in dance and injury prevention/rehabilitation. ... With a BA/MA in Dance from Columbia University and PhD in Dance Education from NYU, she always has both sides of the brain working. A movement addict for life, she is also certified in multiple dance techniques including Simonson, Evans/Bartenieff, Zena Rommett Floor-Barre, and full apparatus Pilates for Dancers. See more

The dance program looks forward to welcoming all new and returning students to campus!

In light of recent mandates, all dance productions this semester including the dance ensemble's Spring 2020 production of "Space and Places II: Imagination and Stories" are cancelled. We are beyond proud of the work that our students have been a part of over the past several weeks. It was a privilege to watch them grow as artists and creative thinkers in many rehearsals. We also appreciate all faculty members, guests, technical crews, and staff members associated with this process. At this time, there is no official plan to reschedule ICDE Spring 2020, but we are looking into alternate ways to celebrate this work filled with students' passion, energy, and creativity, with friends and family.
