Today was a great day to be out on the water. The morning trips started slow but when the east wind picked up we landed on a school of hungry walleyes in 22 -27 fow. #9 jigging raps in parrot and natural perch color did all the work. This afternoon the wind laid down and the lake turned to glass. Those fish just shut down, we used the trolling motor to create a drift and they would come up and just sniff while we watched the livescope screen. We ended up finding some hungry f...ish in 18-20 fow. The fish this afternoon came on blades from i1 baits, colors were silver and riding dirty. Great morning on the water with Ken and Nicole. Found lots of fish but had to weed through shorts to find our keepers. We managed to find a nice school of smallmouth bass who enjoyed our jigging raps also. We covered some water today but best bite was 22-27 fow. What little we can get out lately with the winds has been decent, Thursday morning was probably our second best bite of the year... 2 big coho and a bunch of angry Chinook!!! Tough fishing last week or so, working hard daily for a few bites per trip and the weather hasn't been on our side as much as we'd hoped!!! Enjoyed our time w folks when not running from lightening storms or losing trips from stiff winds..The fish seem to be inching closer, with some in the river already!!!
