i learned this Woody Guthrie song (featured on the new Resistance Revival Chorus record, This Joy) to sing with the RRC at the DC Women's March. The song is act...ually called "All You Fascists Bound To Lose" but my friends and i (who tested negative and podded-up to make the journey to the DC march together) have come to call it simply "Boundalose." it became the theme song of our trip and, in this moment, it feels kinda like the theme song of our country. or so we hope as we hold our breath and pray for the people of America to rediscover the power and the glory of voting. so here we are, my pod of friends: Zoe Boekbinder, Gracie and Rachel and Diane Patterson Music, performing the song on October 18th, 2020 after they surprised me with a belated happy 50th b-day picnic. definitely one of my favorite birthday parties ever. -ani filmed by susan alzner, rachel cox and katie harvey
