How fast the little ones grow!!! Jack’s mom watches over him on the first day we saw Jack. He came back all on his own the other day. He’s a big boy already, and he has a long way to go yet before he will be full grown! Look at those eyes. He’s a handsome boy! Both Jack and his mom, Luna are so sweet. Happy Catterday!!! We dedicate this Catterday to Limbo. Limbo was a very sick little boy when he first came to us a couple of months ago in April. He was surprisingly diagnosed with Diabetes. It was a surprising diagnosis for Limbo because he is still so young - only 10 months old when he was diagnosed in April. While diabetes is fairly common in older cats, it is not very common in young ones. When Limbo came to us, he was so sick no one was sure if he would live, but Limbo defied the odds and is now thriving. We applaud Limbo’s family who did not give up on him, and Limbo who patiently endured all we needed to do to get him better. In Memorium . All of us at Islandia Animal Hospital dedicate this post in honor of Bear. He was a beautiful, gentle, loving soul who was laid to rest yesterday following months of struggling with a long illness. Despite all of our efforts, and his Mom’s hard work to care for him, Bear lost his battle with what turned out to be cancer. We came to know and love Bear as one of our own and are sad to say good bye to him. We give all our heartfelt condolences to Bear’s Mom who did all she could for him. We will all miss Bear.
