Islip Terrace Fire Department

Just before 1am the Islip Terrace Fire Department was dispatched to a reported house fire on Carleton Ave just south of Manhattan Blvd. Upon the chiefs arrival, a working fire was quickly transmitted. Multiple mutual aid departments were called to the scene. It took about 2hrs to bring the fire under control. All the occupants of the house escaped and were accounted for.

The Chiefs, Officers, and members of the Islip Terrace FD send its deepest condolences to the Smithtown Fire Department on the tragic loss of Firefighter/Medic James Shellock. Many thoughts and prayers for his family and friends. Rest Easy we all got it from here.

Early this morning at 0337hrs, the Islip Terrace Fire Department was awakened for a reported Vehicle Fire at the corner of Coronado St and Manhasset St. First on scene was Chief Frank Russo who confirmed a fully involved car.
