At Ithaca Children’s Garden, our vision is that every child has the basic human right to play, learn, and grow outdoors, and that every child develops a life-lo...ng relationship with the living world. A huge part of ICG’s values and identity is being free and open to all, and to offer programming at an affordable cost to families. Scholarships are critical to how ICG achieves this mission, allowing us to serve families with the greatest need. To do this, we lead with scholarship availability and guarantee that families can get any level of scholarship support needed to be able to participate. More than 20% of families in ICG’s registered programs (Camps, Playful Nature Explorers, After School @ ICG) receive need-based scholarships each year. We are committed to simple, accessible, and dignified scholarship processes. Out of respect for each family's private financial information, ICG does not request personal financial details as part of the application process. Our projected scholarship need this year is greater than ever, as many families continue to struggle to make ends meet through the pandemic, while balancing the cost of childcare. We need to raise $20,000 for our Scholarship Fund. While a generous donor has stepped up with a $10,000 matching gift, we are now asking our community to help us raise $10,000 to unlock this gift by Earth Day, April 22nd. The Youth Program Manager is a 30 hr/week, year round, permanent position, providing management and on the ground program leadership for After School @ ICG and school break camps, with general support to all ICG youth programs, including summer camp. This position reports to the Executive Director and works closely with the Education Director. The Youth Pro...gram Manager will supervise day-to-day operations of After School @ ICG including active engagement and supervision of children, leadership and supervision of program staff, program planning, and communication with program families. The successful candidate will support the quality, impact, and growth of ICG’s youth programs and champion ICG’s mission and vision. Compensation for this position starts at $18.00/hr based on 30 hours per week. Benefits include paid time off and other limited benefits.
