Ithaca Young Writers Institute 20.05.2021

We're somehow already nearly at the end of our five-week remote program. It was hard to not get to be together in person, but the fantastic writers still made something special! That's culminated in their "time capsule" literary magazine, Not Laundry. Check it out here: https://iywi.wordpress.com/author/iywimagazine/

Applications are open through the fifteenth! Our online summer institute will combine synchronous meetings, asynchronous work and masterclasses, online feedback sessions and live readings, and a social community. No long hours spent in front of Zoom: this program will be accessible, flexible, and still generative it and creatively rigorous, with plenty of feedback. We're excited to get to know each other! https://www.ithaca.edu/ithaca-young-wr/2020-online-schedule

We have officially moved online for summer 2020! We will be offering a remote experience aligned with the five-week summer session, June 29 - July 31. Students will experience a mixture of asynchronous and synchronous work led by IC Writing faculty and student TAs/Interns. Core workshops, literary magazine, and craft classes will all be offered as noted. Specific schedule to come; there will be no heavy Zoom requirements (Zoom session to last no longer than one hour each and... take place no more than two or three times per week, in static schedule). The cost for pre-college students will be $300 total; applications will still be processed via CampMinder. https://www.ithaca.edu/ithaca-young-writers-/how-apply-cost

We have some exciting announcements to make about this summer's programming, and we'll share them as soon as we can! In the meantime, tell us: what, for you, are some of the best parts about a community of writers?
