Ives Park Concert Series

With COVID-19 putting such a strain on our local economy, we are considering our options for an outdoor concert series this year and are leaning strongly towards cancelling. Most of the time our series is paid for by some small grants, donations and mainly business sponsorships. We're not sure we'll be able to get that kind of support to make the series happen this year. Each concert costs on average $3000 to put on (including musicians, sound engineer, advertising, staff, etc.). So here's a question: If we had 100 tickets in a zone by the gazebo, would you pay for a ticket? Would you be willing to pay $30 per person?

This year's Ives Park Concert Series is going to be a bit different. St. Lawrence County Arts Council and Madstop Records are teaming up with LoKo Arts Festival to create a Battle of the Bands. The People's Choice award winning band AND the two jury-selected winning bands will have the opportunity to play a whole show in August or September to create the concert series! From the bottoms of our hearts, we thank everyone for supporting our 2019 series! We’ve had a fantastic season and have really had such a great showing at each and every concert. Sometimes music can say it much better than words. This is a beautiful moment from our final concert featuring the Atkinson Family Band.

Thank you to the incredibly talented group of gentlemen in The Fretless for a beautiful concert last night. What a great crowd we had too! -One of the biggest to date. Thank you everyone for coming, supporting and making it such a lovely evening of music and community gathering. Thank you to the St. Lawrence County Arts Council - Community Performance Series - CPS - What a Raquette Music and Dance for putting this all together. Such a success! Next week is our final concert of our 2019 season, closing with the Atkinson Family Band!

Thanks to all of the parents and kids for coming out to yesterday’s children’s concert featuring musical guests ‘Animals Crackers’. They were a ton of fun for all ages. Thank you to Stewart's Shops for all the donated ice cream. The kids and parents all enjoyed that treat! Thank you to Prism Face Painting for rocking out the best face painting for tons of kids!! Everyone looked amazing!

Today’s children’s concert is in Full swing! ROAR!!!

Bring those kiddos out to the park today at 3pm - after a good nap, for free ice cream sponsored by Stewart's Shops, face painting by the incredible Prism Face Painting and a children’s concert by the local legends Animal Crackers. We’ve got a big ol’ tent and the weather is looking pretty-pretty decent! See you at the gazebo. Then stick around for our 6pm showing of the amazing fiddle group The Fretless, co-sponsored by Community Performance Series - CPS!
