I'd like to take this opportunity to wish all a Happy Passover. Passover is a holiday that celebrates freedom, and as we are beginning to see a lift of last year's restrictions, I wish upon all my fellow New Yorkers that we all may experience our personal redemptions this Passover holiday. Happy Passover to all!... #passover2021 #nyc #nystrong #freedom

This past Sunday was National Common Courtesy Day. And in case you don't know it, common courtesy makes the world a better and brighter place. Especially now, just a little over one year since we first welcomed words like lockdown, quarantine, and social distancing into our lexicon. For many of us, this past year has taught us more than we ever knew about our inner strength, our resilience, and our courage. And it has also taught us how badly we need each other. Celebra...ting happy times and sharing milestones is just not the same over Zoom. Nothing compares to a genuine hug from a caring friend or a laugh that’s shared in person. And one of the things I've learned from this Pandemic is that while NYC has a reputation of not being so courteous (Ahem, some may call us downright rude) when it comes to being there for each other, we're there in full force. But now that the end of the pandemic is in sight, maybe it's time to shed that reputation and use this time to grow closer together and treat each other with more courtesy, respect, and kindness than ever before. #nyc #strongertogether #covid19 #nystrong

Spring is HERE and personally, I'm loving it! Spring has always been a time of renewal. It’s the season when Nature wakes up from its winter slumber and starts showing its glorious colors, it's when shy flowers peek out of the Earth and tiny buds begin to sprout. It’s the season when sun-dappled days fill our hearts with joy and when birds sing from every branch and the sound of children’s laughter makes the world a brighter place. And this year, more than ever, spring is a t...ime of hope. Just one year ago, the streets of New York were eerily silent. We huddled at home, watching the news with mounting horror and diving our time between wondering how we’d survive another hour of lockdown and where we’d find our next roll of toilet paper. We hope that now, one year into the pandemic that has upended life on every level, things are finally looking up. Case numbers are down, and so we choose to believe that the future is bright with healing and with hope. Wishing all of New York a glorious hope-filled spring! #springtime #covid19 #nyc #propertymanagement

Did you know that last Friday was the start of the NYC Department of Buildings remote video inspection pilot program? This program is voluntary and is right now only in the testing stages but may become the norm if proven successful. The program runs from March 19th through April 30th and will use digital video technology to conduct the following inspections: Construction Final Inspection in Staten Island... Rescission of Stop Work Orders (as a result of Construction without a permit) in Brooklyn. For more information about the pilot program, you can check out: https://www1.nyc.gov//buildi/pdf/remote_inspections_sn.pdf So what are your thoughts, yea or nay on remote inspections? Is this a program you'd like to become permanent or you rather the face-to-face interactions of in-person inspections? #remoteinspection #inspections #buildingcompliance #propertymanagement #nyc

Hey NYC property owners/managers, are you aware of the new requirement that came into effect this month? That's right, as of March 2nd, property managers/owners are now required to inform their tenants and prospective tenants of the tenants' rights to request reasonable modifications and accommodations if needed for a disability. Be aware that property owners have 30 days from March 2nd to inform current tenants and 30 days from the beginning of any new tenancies to inform ne...w tenants. And FYI, disclosure of these rights must be done in writing. You can view a sample notice here: https://dhr.ny.gov//Sample-Notice-for-Requesting-Reasonabl #humanrightslaw #buildingcompliance #buildingregulations #personswithdisabilities #nyc #propertymanagement
