JAG Specialty Food is doing it's part to help in my hometown community. Be safe ! "A simple act of kindness every day "... Eve and John’s Do Good to Feel Good Program - my prescription to you: If you’re looking for a way to feel better during these unprecedented times, take advice from a doctor...... find a socially distant-acceptable manner to help others and it will lift your spirits tremendously! My husband, John Ferrante, and I had the best time this past week delivering over 300 cases of food products to those in need and to those we want to thank in Glen Cove. We were able to show our appreciation to the police dept, fire dept, EMS, the soup kitchen, some friends, and even sent a couple of pizzas for Glen Cove Hospital’s staff. Next up for this week - the Dept of Public works yard, plus lots of snacks to go for the Glen Cove hospital staff through a drive organized by Mary Stanco and Berkshire Hathaway, and many more cases for a drive being organized by Delia DeRiggi-Whitton. But the best part was the spontaneous help we got from others.... while unloading 200 cases off the truck at the soup kitchen at First Baptist Church of Glen Cove, N.Y., John and Reverend Roger C. Williams realized that getting them down the steps into the basement was going to be a big project - so John called Frank Fazzalari who drove straight over with his son, my son Christopher, and a total stranger passer-by from Avalon apartments who all pitched in! Now THAT’S community spirit! Thank you to all who helped us, and thanks in advance to anyone who sees this and is motivated to take part in my Do Good to Feel Good Program, part 2 of a program that John and I started over the holidays. with Delia DeRiggi-Whitton and 4 others.
