City Arborist Dan Stone always writes a poem to go along with the annual Arbor Day Tree Planting Ceremony. Here is 2020's poem he wrote for the tree planting in Baker Park.

The City of Jamestown celebrated 2020 Arbor Day with a tree planting in Baker Park. Arborist Dan Stone was joined by Mayor Eddie Sundquist, Chautauqua Region Co...mmunity Foundation, Parks, Recreation & Conservation Commission members; and Zonta Club of Jamestown for the planting of a Rosea Autumn Flowering Cherry Tree. This tree planting marks the 39th year of the City of Jamestown being designated a Tree City USA as well as the City being designated a Sterling Tree City USA. A community that has earned 10 Growth Awards is recognized with this designation and these communities are regarded as leaders in community forestry and are often looked upon as innovators. See more
