Shot this with the incomparable Jimmy Bruch. Opened my eyes to the world that is Pat Green. #waveonwave
A wonderful way for playwrights to gain new perspective on their works in progress. And, a fabulous intimate glimpse inside the process for the readers and the audience. Come check it out! Free and open to all.
Please share. Jenna is a first year student at Brooklyn Technical High School, where our Dakota goes. She was last seen leaving Brooklyn Tech on Thursday at 3PM, getting on the G train. Our hearts go out to her and her family. Please share.
I found out yesterday that our "Lincoln Dress" portraits were honored by the Tokyo Foto Awards. Having submitted this series to three reviews this year, and having received recognition from all three (IPA, PX3, and now TIFA), I think I'm obliged to dig for the roots that connect. What have I stumbled upon with this work, why is it connecting people from vastly different cultures, across a broad spectrum of time? Is it the "story" of the photos? Is it the mixing of media? Is i...t the light, the performance, the tone? Are these moments (more) universally transcendent in some way? Or, perhaps, like most things I try, is it just the trying that is being acknowledged? Gordon Parks may have said it best - "I feel it is the heart, not the eye, that should determine the content of the photograph. What the eye sees is its own. What the heart can perceive is a very different matter." As I launch myself into the next fast-moving stream, I breathe a bit deeper, and then I'm off again. Deepest thanks and appreciation to John P. McEneny, Piper Theatre Productions, Rachel K Wood, Aaron Novak, Vasile Flutur, Bettina Goolsby Annie Meek Montgomery
