To finish off our #womenshistorymonth series we are going to highlight our Chief Operations Officer Doreen! Doreen Straka joined Jericho Project in 2010 as the Senior Director of Strategic & Workforce Opportunities and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in 2014. Before coming to Jericho, Ms. Straka worked at BronxWorks as the Program Director for Workforce Development, and later as its Director of Operations. She has also held the position of Senior Program Officer for t...he Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH) , managing national workforce development initiatives for special populations and speaking nationally on the issue. At Jericho, she initiated the development of Jericho’s Youth Initiative. Her responsibilities as COO include housing development; asset and property management of Jericho’s 550+ units of housing; human resources; information technology; and data quality and compliance She is charged with increasing Jericho’s permanent supportive housing programs to 1,000 units. A creative problem solver, Ms. Straka has readied the infrastructure of Jericho to effectively support and manage this growth. Ms. Straka holds a Master’s in Social Work from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College of the City University of New York, and a B.A. in Business Administration from The George Washington University. To continue our #womenshistorymonth series, we will be highlighting our Chief Program Officer, Adrianna! Adriana Rodriguez-Baptiste, LCSW, is the Chief Program Officer at Jericho Project where she oversees all programs. She also has led the organization in its adoption of Harm Reduction and Housing First approaches. She is an expert in evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing, Critical Time Intervention and trauma treatments such as Prolonged Exposure and Seeking Safety. In addition, she was adjunct faculty for six years at @columbia University’s Graduate School of Social Work Practice where she specialized in teaching addictions and trauma interventions. She received her Master's in Social Work from @bostoncollege Graduate School of Social Work. #womenempowerment #womensday
