Sun safe habits how to apply SPF & other ways to protect your skin Apply a broad spectrum SPF 30-50 Plan to use a shot glass full for body , 2 finger lengths for the face ... Apply to one area at a time on the body. Apply SPF before getting dressed. Applying before putting clothes/ bathing suit on will help avoid missing a spot. Apply SPF on face as last step in skincare routine. If hair is parted / bald scalp, Don’t forget SPF here. There are powdered sunscreens or spray sunscreens for scalp protection. Bring SPF on the go to reapply. Don’t leave in a heated car. Reapply every 2-3 hrs if outside for long periods of time / water sports Wear clothing with UV protection for an extra layer. I have on my @mott50 UPF beach cover up on in the photo Wear a hat with UV protection to help cover face and scalp. Wear sunglasses with UV protection for the eyes I do this every time I go outside for long periods of time: walking my dog, beach, any outdoor activity. Once I started it just became a habit. I am all about skin cancer prevention and I don’t want to undo all my skincare, laser, & microneedling treatments! What are your sun safe habits??
