If you have been working on your chair squat and its getting easy to do. Then the next progression is the body squat. You want to keep the form you had with the chair and allow your self to sit into the sitting bones, activating those posterior muscles. The squat one of the best full body compound exercises around. It will help you with lower body strength, stability, flexibility and over mobility. When done properly it can help prevent and improve hip, knee and lower back pain. You can refer to the videos i've done for lower body mobility to help improve your body squats.
Anjaneyasana or Low Lunge helps release tension in your hips. Stretches your hip flexors, quads, and groin. Can help relieve tighness in lower back and knees.
This is one of the best ways increase your overall hip mobility. As you move through the this motion you are utilzing the stabilzing muscles of the core and pelvis. Which will help increase your overall hip range of motion. Make sure to warm up the spine first, refer to thread the needle video.
