Thank you to the Allegany County Democratic Committee for recently donating 450 individual packets of homemade cookies to Jones Memorial Hospital! Barb Lanphier of the Nursing Office gratefully accepted the cookies and ensured that they were delivered to the staff! Karen Ash, secretary of the organization, said that 65 volunteers baked, packaged, and delivered these cookies to Jones with "all the warmest greetings of the season and our sincere gratitude for caring for the people we love most dearly." Thank you to Pat Balcom who has been busy this winter crocheting hats and blankets for the babies born at Jones Memorial. Delivered by her husband, Gary, the gift includes hats in so many colors and styl; each one is more beautiful than the last! They arrived just in time, according to Director of Maternal Health Jackie Adrian, left, the hat supply was getting low. Jackie and Donna Bliven, VP of Patient Care Services brought the crocheted items right up to the Dr. F. Clifton Miller Birthing Center. Thank you Pat for thinking of us and our patients!

Jones Memorial Hospital Pharmacy Director Jacob Milliron, left, was happy to make room for the new sub-zero freezer needed to store the COVID-19 vaccines when they are distributed by the NYS Department of Health. To ensure that the freezer was in place and ready to accept the vaccines, two members of the facilities team, Jim Franklin (in photo on right) and Andrew Gallagher drove to Cincinnati, Ohio over the weekend to pick it up.
