John St Jam

Hey! This Friday, July 17th, the Sunset series continues!! One of our favorite people will be there (you!!), along with one of the Jam's favorite entertainers, Terry Seeley. We also have New England's coolest indy-Bluegrass-Folk duo, Neptune's Car. This month we're at Tina Chorvas Park, on E. Bridge St. in Saugerties. All signs in town point to the Waterfront Park, but don't be fooled. ... The show starts promptly at 6:30 and ends before dark. This is a FREE concert. Bring blankets, lawn chairs, picnic goodies, etc., but there might be a food truck there, too!!

I have a procrastination problem. Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm pretty good at it, it's just that when there's something to do I often don't even start to procrastinate right away -- I usually put it off for a few days before I really start to dawdle. This Saturday, April 11th, is the last John Street Jam. It was supposed to have ended last December, but... Anyway, we were going to do a bunch of special things but some stuff came up and I forgot, so it's just going to be our... regular music-in-the-round thing. Hope you don't mind. On hand will be Big Joe Fitz, Marji Zintz, Terry Seeley, Kimberly, Paul Luke Andreassen, Mike Baglione, Fran Palmieri, and, after much arm-twisting, Terri Massardo, accompanied by yours truly. Steve Ashton will help us with our tribute to his late wife, Beth. The house band will include Bruce Hildenbrand and Bob Bottjer, and our staff will be handing out tissues to the first 700 customers. Saugerties The LAST John Street Jam!! If you've never been here, you don't know what you've been missing. If you know the Jam, you know exactly what you'll be missing. After 11 years and 4 months, 162 shows and over 450 musicians, we've decided to close the door on the John Street Jam. Thanks to all of you who have supported live music, the food pantry, and the Reformed Church of Saugerties over the years. You have infused this room and this town with a spirit of camaraderie, joy, the love of music, and genuine affection for one another. We couldn't have done this for 11 years without you and all the folks behind the scenes who helped us make this show so special. We'll miss you all. Steve & Terri
