Another kitchen from dark to light.

This kitchen is a great example of tones at battle with one another. The after photos explain what that means. The before‘s are of beautiful mahogany inset kitchen cabinets. It’s just that the Woodtones no longer suit the space, the floors were refinished and made light. And the walls painted light as well.The Afters show them refinished in Benjamin Moore OC 65, and the hardware replaced with satin brass.

Needless to say but the majority of people I work for are perfectly happy with the footprint of their kitchen, but if you craving a little more storage, perhaps a place a beverage refrig ,consider an island. That’s what this customer did. Instead of using the same counter material as the rest, they went with a walnut butcher block that I supplied. The photo doesn’t really do it justice. And of course the island was fabricated to match the existing profiles as the original kitchen.

I think I’m seeing that I just need to make the first cut and let what wants to come out of the block come out.

I love the work I do, but I really love these transformations. Going from an 80s kitchen style to today, bright, clean, crisp, and simple. Doors and drawer fronts’s were replaced in the shaker style. Color, Benjamin Moore super white satin.

Here’s another great transformation. Color on the cabinets is Benjamin Moore 01 White. Built-in hutch satin black. And the table and chairs were also re-done to go with a new color scheme.

The customer isn’t always interested in or is necessary to replace the countertops, backsplash or floor. What is necessary is to chose the correct color to make it all work. In this case it was Benjamin Moore white dove.
