For those asking about tickets purchased online: Your name is written on the ticket that goes in to be drawn. We print the PayPal sheet with the buyer’s name and contact info then staple the other half of the ticket(s) to that sheet. They are kept in numerical order so that we can easily reach out to the person whose name/number is drawn. As our purpose is to raise money, it’s not cost effective for us to mail tickets to buyers. (We’ve already sold over 1000 tickets online a...lone!) This has been our standard procedure for many years and is a system of checks and balances. If anyone would like to be texted a picture of their tickets, please inbox the foundation and we’d be happy to do that. The drawing will be posted LIVE on Facebook! Thank you to all who have purchased tickets so far. We still have four months to make this our most successful raffle yet! We are so honored to help our hero, Melissa Close Farmer. Get tickets on our website: www.johnfiorefoundation.com

Golf is full but you can support the 12th Annual John Fiore Foundation Memorial Golf Tournament by becoming a tourney sponsor. We have levels for all budgets and it’s a great way to advertise your business, pay tribute to a loved one or just help us raise for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western New York and WNYHeroes.org.

The John Fiore Foundation mission statement is Enhancing the quality of life in Western New York by donating to individuals, families and community programs in honor of our hero, John. This is why the 12th Annual John Fiore Foundation Memorial Golf Tournament YETI of Booze Raffle will benefit one of our first responders...Melissa CloseFarmer. If you don’t already know it, here is Melissa’s story. We couldn’t be more proud to help a local hero in her time of need. Melissa..., 33, is an active Volunteer Firefighter/EMT with the Ransomville Fire Company and works at Niagara Hospice. On November 11, 2020 she was diagnosed with stage 3c cervical cancer after becoming ill at work. Following many rounds of internal and external radiation and six rounds of chemotherapy, the cancer spread to her femur then soon after, to her liver and lungs. Melissa is now undergoing another eight rounds of a more intensive chemo, losing her hair after the second round. Melissa really misses her work and her second family at the firehall. It's very difficult for me to be the one in need of help, when I have always been the one who loves to help and lend a hand to others. Tickets are $5 each and available on our website www.johnfiorefoundation.com Melissa has been there for our community, let’s be there for her.

This coming Friday is the 12th anniversary of the crash of Flight 3407. We lost 51 beautiful souls that night, including an unborn child and an amazing man on the ground. That horrific night brought us to where we are today, here’s The John Fiore Foundation story. Our Mission: Enhancing the quality of life in WNY by donating to individuals, families and community programs in honor of our hero, John. Turning tragedy into purpose.... The family and friends of John J. Fiore founded the John J. Fiore Memorial Golf Tournament in 2009 (incorporated as The John Fiore Foundation in 2019 and certified as a 501c3 charitable organization in February 2020) as a way to honor John's memory after he passed away on Flight 3407 in Clarence, New York on February 12, 2009. He dedicated his life to his family and his country, spending 30 years serving our country in both the United States Marine Corps and the United States Air Force. He fought for our freedom in Vietnam, Desert Storm and had 2 tours of duty in the Iraqi War. John retired from active duty in 2006 and was due to retire from his civilian career at Washington Mills in 2011. Our hero continues to be sorely missed. John always had a special place in his heart for children, having spearheaded fundraisers for Children's Hospital and various local organizations. We have been able to raise over $241,000 in our first eleven years for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Western New York. In addition, we've raised over $67,000 for local organizations and families in need. That brings our eleven year grand total to over $308,000. The family and friends of John thank everyone that has played a role in our success, we couldn't do it without the love and support of so many wonderful people.
