Mapping Your Life with Marcos Gonsalez Wednesday, March 24, 2021 Community Hour (1:40-2:55pm EST) Presented by the Center for Gender Justice, La Voz, LASO, the Immigrant Student Success Center, Students with Borders, and the English Department... Gonsalez is a literature professor and the author of Pedro’s Theory (2021), a memoir about growing up Mexican and Puerto Rican, gay and femme and fat, in a small town in New Jersey. The New York Times praised it as a kaleidoscopic investigation of the things America has tried to promise him. Gonsalez will lead an interactive workshop with writing prompts about using your memories and your family history to write autobiographically and about culture and politics.
