The JC Rotary Club is officially adopting the inside section of the JC traffic circle as part of DOT's adopt-a-highway program. The club began phase one of the cleanup last Friday and were joined by members of JC Partners. Ron and Patti Heebner had adopted and taken care of the circle for many years before Ron's passing and considered it their "baby". Adoption of the circle is a way for the club to honor Ron, who was a very active and long serving JC Rotarian.

JC Rotary members will be doing a cleanup of the JC traffic circle (inner circle) on Friday, August 14th at 9:00 AM. This will involve cutting back some foliage and cutting down weeds. If you are interested in joining us, please RSVP by August 12th to Rick Balles at [email protected] or 797-7025.

Yesterday JC Rotary members spent the morning installing a new sign and cleaning up Jenison Park.

Members of the JC Rotary recently built raised beds and planted tree peonies at the JC Senior Center and CFJ Park.

In May JC Rotary donated $350 to All Saints Episcopal Church for their Soup and Sandwich Program held every Saturday. Debbie Thorpe, the program coordinator, is holding up the check. Thanks for all you do for our community!

We were busy placing flags around the traffic circle this morning. Happy Memorial Day weekend!

Several of our members took advantage of the nice weather over the weekend and planed some tree peonies at the Wilson Hospital Campus.

In an interview with Reuters, Bill Gates stated he's optimistic that we will #endpolio--as long as donors and governments remain committed. Our success in India, which has been polio-free for five years, shows we can end polio worldwide.

We are close, but still have a whole lot or work to do.

It was not so long ago that thousands of people were confined to Iron Lungs due to Polio. Thanks to Rotarians like you this deadly disease is nearly gone. Let us end it once for all!

We had a great response to our Annual Poinsettia Fundraiser this year. The proceeds fund scholarships for seniors at Johnson City CSD. Thanks to everyone who purchased a poinsettia!

This morning, the Johnson City Rotary put up flags around the Johnson City Traffic Circle in Honor of Memorial Day this weekend. So many men and women throughout the history of this country have sacrificed their lives for the freedoms we enjoy here. Word cannot truly express our deep gratitude for what they did.
