GENEROUS GIFTS FOR GOWANDA GRADS Viewers of this week’s conferral of degrees at Hillis Field may notice our graduates and their families holding gift boxes in p...hotos and videos. The story behind these boxes is thanks to a coordinated effort to celebrate these students as a community. The Gowanda Area Chamber of Commerce and various local businesses wanted to give the Gowanda CSD’s Class of 2020 graduates a little something extra to make this difficult year a bit more special. It is the Chamber’s hope to see more collaboration between the school, students, and chamber in the future. During the conferral of degrees, every graduate is presented with a box of gifts along with a sweet message that includes the following sentiment: As you begin the next phase of your life, please know the world is open to you. Give your best, Get the best, Be your best. To quote Dr. Seuss: ‘Why fit in, when you were born to stand out.’ Congratulations seniors, you have graduated -- achieve your dreams and believe in yourself!
