Something new in from Albany for any lovers of spicy things. Hot Crispy Oil takes flavor to another level and while I haven't tried the regular, the extra spicy has not only a little kick but that nice warming heat along with so many other things going on I was almost tempted to drink it Seriously though if you like hot wings just dip them in this, or put it on pizza or really anything you want to add spice and flavor to. It also adds depth to mayo or ketchup and in turn can take your basic burger to a world of its own

Found something really unique and fun and coming in just in time for Mother's day all the way from Paris. Bougie Bijou are not only a candle but there is a gift inside the candle as it burns down. Each candle has a piece of sterling silver jewelry in it. There could be a charm, earrings, a bracelet or a necklace and this is the everlasting gift after. Victoria, who makes both the candles and the jewelry, knows what goes in each candle and makes every one unique. She is sending me one to burn in the store so when they come in I will start burning the Hibiscus ginger orange candle for fun we will have a little contest to pick the date when it will burn down to the jewelry and the person that guesses right will get that piece.

Got some more things from Italy today and am so excited to try them myself it almost feels like Christmas again First up are red peppers stuffed with tuna and olives and I promise you there is nothing like Italian tuna. Next is a different truffle sauce that just looks amazing and will add so much to simple sauces or just on crostini. And finally is the eggplant pate with olive oil, peppers, white wine and spices. I was told this is so good I couldn't resist. In the next pic... are a couple risotto mixes, one asparagus and one with porcini mushroom make good risotto so easy. Honestly I never minded spending the time making risotto but it's nice to take the time and stirring out of the equation too. We also got some new pastas in, all Italian and all great makers. I had a request for a mushroom pasta and found this one and it looks perfect and I also added another gluten free pasta since their fettucine has gotten so many great reviews from customers. So if you are wondering what to have for dinner this weekend or are craving good pasta, come down and see us. We are now also taking special orders for Delilah Home products. They make sheets, towels, duvet covers, and pet beds from 100% organic cotton or hemp and come highly recommended, so I am trying them out for myself and will gladly get them in for anyone that is interested

A few new things in today from Beekman and something totally new from Flock Chicken Chips. Beekman just introduced their lavender soap and lotion and we have it in along with the hand cream for the lavender fans out there. Also these chicken chips are something different, fun, and I broke down and tried the Cajun and they are awesome, Kind of like pork rinds but the chicken version

We are open our regular hours today and have a special treat for anyone that wants to try the Easter Columba. It is not only pretty to look at , but also absolutely delicious. So come down and take a look at the new place and have some columba with us

In speical for Easter are Pasticceria Filippi's traditional Italian Colomba Easter cake made with pears and Vidama chocolate, a variety of cocoa from the Ivory coast of Africa. It is a rich buttery cake similar to panettone, shaped to resemble a dove. The colomba is made with Filippi's 40 year old natural yeast starter, free range eggs, butter, Italian honey, bourbon vanilla and candied citrus peel. They all sounded so good but they sell out fast and I was lucky to get these. Seeing as I will be open Friday my normal house I will be sampling one so if out and about stop in and try some. buon pasqua

Some new things in from The Republic of Tea. Seeing as warmer weather is around the corner we brought in some of their special iced teas which are so wonderful and refreshing on a nice day along with the new Chai sampler which is a must have for any lover of Chai tea and also makes a great little gift with its neat packaging. We have had requests for different mint teas and the organic mint fields is a great addition, the Burnout Blocker is great either hot or iced and gives a natural energy boost perfect in the middle of the day and last but certainly not least, for fans of the Crown, The Princess' Peach Bellini tea just sounds wonderful to any fan of the Bellini cocktail or anyone that likes peaches and champagne

We have had some customers looking for different hats and in looking for different types I came across Pretty Simple and liked how their hats were just a little different and fun. The hobo back struck me as fun and so different than the purses we already carry that I just had to try one and see.

Joseph's has been invaded this afternoon by the Jabber Ball army. They are just way too cute and fun for kids of all ages. So come down and check them out for yourself

Some more of the things in yesterday from Milkbarn. I should add all their products are made with organic cotton, bamboo, or muslin and are made in Tennessee. So on top of being just adorable, they are soft and well made

Just got these in along with a bunch of other things from Milkbarn and love these books and the Big Lovey. What a great gift for a baby shower or a newborn. More coming tomorrow
