Looking at the royal colors of Heather Day’s Cerulean On the 5, 2019, our minds drift towards images of the ocean. The behaviors of her poured paints mimic the chaotic movements of the seas, shown here on the canvas as if frozen in time. Day then applies other gestures that appear to hover and float, further transforming the painting. With her powerful composition and rich colors, today our minds travel to the beautiful Adriatic Sea or to places such as Italy’s Amalfi coast. ...Heather Day Cerulean on the 5, 2019 Mixed media on canvas 56 x 48 inches #HeatherDay #Abstraction #SummerSeries #JoshuaLinerGallery
@markwagnerinc's beautifully constructed From Darkest Decay Dumb Blossoms of New Mingling Leap Greenly Into the Ripe Air is the second work in our curated #SummerSeries. Composed completely of one dollar bills, each bill is carefully cut and given a new life as the medium for Wagner’s summer scene. Of this large-scale work, we are focusing here on a small detail that both highlights Wagner’s collage skill as well as the joys of the season. @jenstark's mirrored work Perception was included in Dimensionality, her 2019 at the gallery, which opened almost one year ago. This striking work invigorates her signature rainbow palette through the reflection against the wall- a point accentuated here, in the LA collector’s installation. If you are reading this, you have been involved with the gallery in one way or another. A fan, either local or far away, a collector who has acquired artwork from the gallery, or even one of the artists we have collaborated with over the years. Whatever your connection may be to Joshua Liner Gallery, we are connected with each other. For the past twelve years, the gallery has connected people, art lovers, and art makers, from all walks of life. Though as most things eventuall...y change, so is the future of the gallery. I’m writing this to you today to let you know that Joshua Liner Gallery is closing our space on 28th Street here in NYC. This block has been our home for the last twelve years and has brought so many people together in one space, to share in a common love for the arts. While it is sad to close the doors to the gallery, it has brought me so much joy that I want to thank you for what you have contributed to help make this collective and extended family what it has become. Though this is not the end of the story, rather the beginning of a new chapter. I look forward to sharing more information about the next iteration of Joshua Liner Gallery very soon. Josh

Lara Delmage of Metal Magazine recently interviewed Geoff McFetridge. Delmage opens the interview by praising the artist’s style, writing, An ode to simplicity, McFetridge’s artwork has the capacity to represent a series of seemingly disparate brands, from Nike to Waterstones, while also staying true to his own artistic oeuvre.
