What’s your story? I believe that everyone and everything has a story. It’s only a matter of digging a little bit. Many times with people it is about discovering the why because the why is the foundation of your story. If you are an entrepreneur on social media I believe it is essential to connect to your audience with your story. ... Story is the foundation of all I teach on social media so I wanted to share some thoughts on the value of stories 1) Your story is one of the best ways to stand out on social media. You are unique so use it and capture the audience that thinks like you. 2) when you use aspects of your story in your content, it adds authenticity and provides that unique handle for your audience to hold on to. 3) Your quirks are your quirks unless you make them your brand. Capitalize on your quirks and other qualities and roll them into your personal brand it will make you memorable. 4) Sharing your story emotionally is difficult but also rewarding. Make sure you do so in the right medium, for the right audience, and for the right reasons and then add that to your website and social platforms appropriately. Your story is evergreen content. 5) Treat your story with the upmost respect and don’t roll it out for everything, everybody and every trending situation. It loses is power when it is overused and treated as everyday content. Everyone has a story, you should share that story to inspire others. Connect with your audience and show up as a human on social media. Additionally, remember somebody out there needs to hear what you have to say today and it will matter to them as we all matter. Do you have a favorite view of a city near you? Looking up in New York City is one of my favorite things to do! The ability to look up in amazement at these steel and concrete spires rising from the jungle floor is awe inspiring for me. It’s amazing what humans can create. And the hard work and stories that make up their history is absolutely incredible. This tactic will minimize overwhelm and also help you arrive at statistically backed decisions since you of course will measure and compare all the changes you make and how they impact the business. So quickly. If you are a local Bookstore Coffee House and you notice that your sales are down 40% and this decrease is lead by a 60% in your coffee sales your first step might be to figure out why your coffee sales are down by possibly retraining the baristas how to up sell to customers. Try that for 3-4 weeks and see the impact. Based on the impact adapt or try another strategy. Focusing on 1 allows you to clearly know what changes that caused the impact and eliminates the overwhelm of trying 10 new things at once when only 1 may be broken.
